Latest E-VISA updates from UK Government
UK Visa Immigration has released the lates updates on E-Visa.
- Create a UKVI account
- Access an eVisa
- prove their rights more easily in future.
They can still use their current ink stamp or vignette to prove your rights, including for travel. At the same time, they can benefit from the added security and convenience of an eVisa.
To apply, then only need:
- The document shown in ILR
- Their passport or travel document showing their most recent UK entry.
- International Environment
- Innovation and Research
They will be asked if they have been outside the UK for two years or more, but don't need to provide evidence of residence.
They can travel freely while their NTL application is being processed.
Once approved, they will receive an eVisa and instructions on how to access it in their decision letter or email.
Simpler process for people without valid ID People who were granted permission to stay in the UK before 1 November 2024, but who don't have valid ID, can now create their own UKVI account. They no longer need the Home Office to do it for them.
Over the coming months, we plan to roll out this self-service account creation process to include more groups who currenlty require Home Office support to creae an account.
Expired BRPs or BRCs can be kept
You can keep an expired BRP or BRC for:
- Personal records
- Assisting future immigration applicatoins.
